Monitor the health of your orchard by recording the health of trees and viewing them overlaying an interactive map.
Collect measurements taken in the field
Inspect trees systematically, or ad-hoc
Scan a tree label to select the tree in the application
Reveal block-wide patterns of health or symptoms
Target follow-up treatment to specific trees or areas
Track the provenance of each truffle as it is detected, harvested and processed. The cleaned and graded final product can be matched to the time and place the truffle was harvested.
As each truffle is detected, its location relative to the nearest tree is easily recorded using an interactive chart.
Mark the location of a truffle in the orchard as it is detected by:
Scan the nearest tree to call up the tree’s detail display
Indicate the position of the truffle relative to the tree by pressing on the chart
Decide whether to harvest the truffle immediately, or leave it to be harvested later
When the truffle is harvested, information is captured for future analysis. A truffle id is generated to keep track of the truffle as it is processed.
Record observations about each truffle as it is harvested:
The depth of the truffle is mandatory
Estimates of other details (species, grade, weight, etc) are optional during harvesting
Newly harvested truffles are cleaned, trimmed and graded. Truffle Grower supports the United Nations standard for truffle processing, UNECE Standard FFV-53.
This standard has also been adapted by the Australian Truffle Grower’s association to guide growers in labelling their produce.
Once a truffle is harvested, its details are stored and tracked as it is processed and graded:
The truffle’s id is used to match the truffle being processed to its entry in the ‘Ungraded’ list
Processing a truffle involves cleaning, weighing and grading the truffle
Truffles are graded by quality into categories: Extra, Grade 1, Grade 2 and Bits
The amount of truffle discarded is recorded, together with the discard reason
If necessary, a truffle can be split into more than one piece during processing. In this case each piece can be given a seperate grading
Review the productivity of your orchard together with the quality of truffles produced. Data can be examined using charts and reports provided by the Truffle Grower application, or exported for further analysis.
Visualise production data using powerful interactive graphs
Identify trends in quality and production
Breakdown discarded truffles to determine trends in reasons for truffle loss
Change the data interval to examine weekly, monthly or yearly trends
Integrate weather and soil moisture data from your weather stations
Export production data for further analysis
Production and weather data can be exported to external applications for further processing
Block configuration, observations and production data can be shared via Email
